Pure Nails is a leading brand in professional nail care, offering high-quality gel polish and nail systems under the Halo brand. The Challenge
After a comprehensive audit conducted by Studioworx on the overall website performance, Pure Nails requested the marketing team, now Studio2, to deliver the recommended optimisations with the aim to improve their rankings and increase their brand visibility on the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). Additionally, they wanted to optimise their website using best practices, specifically with their site speed, and needed some more technical optimisations, such as more interlinking and metadata alterations. Using the audit as a basis for the work, we found several opportunities for SEO, to help boost their website’s rankings, visibility, and customer experience.
Strategy
Based on the client brief and site audit, we developed a detailed SEO strategy for their website to boost rankings, increase organic traffic, and address their pain points. A few things were done to accomplish this including:
- Lowering backlink toxicity, and improving authority
- Regular keyword and competitor research to identify gaps and search trends to action to the Pure Nails site
- Implementing SEO best practices and addressing technical audit issues, such as fixing issues with meta descriptions, headings, and alt text, amongst other things
- Undertaking keyword inclusion within the content of the website, avoiding keyword stuffing and cannibalisation

- 600+ toxic domains disavowed
- 100s of meta descriptions optimised
